Where this came from
Just to let you all know, this program is my work, originally. Our program, Folkscene has been on the air since 1970. You can check us out at www.folkscene.com. I was a bit shocked to find it posted on the archive, to be honest. My concern was whether the Ditty Bops knew it was here and if they were OK with that. I spoke to a very nice young woman at the archive and she told me there are a number of Ditty Bops files here and they seem to be OK with it. Our feeling is, if they are OK with with it, we are as well. But the facts are, the performances belong to them only. And the recording belongs to Folkscene. Any commercial use of this recording would be copyright infringement, please be aware.
I was also amazed at the audio quality. These files sound like my masters. How someone, other than Folkscene, its affiliated radio stations or the Ditty Bops, themselves, got this material, I do not know. This doesn't sound like it was recorded off the air.
Anyway, enjoy it but please refrain from any commercial use. We are public radio people. We do the program for free, just for the love of the music. We have a long standing relationship of trust we the performers who appear on our program, also for free. We ask that you respect that trust.
Thanks!

CD quality sound
A radio studio recording that is as clean any CD. And set up so you can either download just the tunes or the tunes with the interview bits.
Most excellent download

Oh to have been there...
What a great show. It would have been much fun to have just sat somewhere in the background. The accoustics are great, the sound excellent. This is a great first listen for those not familiar with The Ditty Bops Music.

A revealing interview
Thanks for adding this truly revealing interview with Amanda and Abby to the Archive. The radio show host was lucky to be able to enjoy his own "private" concert. We are fortunate enough to be able to eavesdrop on it! If you're a fan of The Ditty Bops, this is a "must listen".
